Lyle Anthony Wales

Lyle Anthony Wales passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, in Albany, Louisiana at the age of 66. He was born on Friday, May 6, 1960 in Hammond, Louisiana to the late Vivian Wales and the late Glenn Wales. He was a resident of Albany, Louisiana.

Lyle loved woodworking and was a carpenter by trade. His joy was to be in the mountains or hanging out on the river. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with friends, but his favorite thing was his love for his family.

Lyle is survived by his son, Lyle (Jennifer) Wales; daughters, Kim (Marty) Vutera, and Amy (Stephen) Ridgdell; grandchildren, Nicholas Burgo, Kamryn Burgo, Ryleigh Vutera, Kayleigh Ridgdell; brother, James Wales and sisters, Karen Dunnington and Dawn LiRocchi.

Lyle was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Wales; mother, Vivian Wales, and brother, Lennie Wales.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home on 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, 9:00 am - 11:00 am followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am.
