Lucille Pierson, 88, of Holden, Louisiana died peacefully surrounded by her family on April 22, 2018. She was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend.
She was born on Feb. 12, 1930 and lived her entire life in Holden Louisiana. She was a devout Christian and a member of the First United Pentecostal Church in Denham Springs, Louisiana. She loved fishing, gardening, and spending quality time with her family and friends, whom she loved dearly.
She is survived by her three daughters, Elaine Smith of Pine Grove, La., Mary Gordon of Holden, La., and Dorothy Sanders of Holden, La.; three sisters, Johnnie Curtrer of Livingston, La. Bonnie Hoover of Holden, La. and Annie Norred of Holden, La.; 19 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren; numerous great great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her first husband and the father of her children, Luther Lewis; her second husband, Charles Pierson; father, John Ballard; mother, Nettie Efferson; daughter, Evie Brown; son, David Lewis; sister, Evon Ballard; son-in-laws, Wade Gordon, Tinker Sanders, Sr., Kenneth "Buddy" Smith, Sr.; granddaughter, Pamela Watkins; great grandsons, Alan J. Watkins and Jacob Vaughn; and great granddaughter, Madelyn(Maddie) Jordan.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend the services at Harry McKneely Funeral Home in Hammond, Louisiana, starting at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, and continuing at the funeral home on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 9:00 am until burial at James Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery, Holden, La.
