Lt. William "Billy" Narretto

William "Billy" Narretto peacefully gained his angel wings on Monday, February 27, 2023 at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond, Louisiana, surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness.  He was born on July 7, 1955 in Hammond, Louisiana to the late, Doris and John Narretto Sr.  Billy started his career in Law Enforcement at Tangipahoa Parish Sheriffs Office in 1975 until 1978, then joined Hammond Police Department, where he retired in 2004, with over 26 years of experience as a Lieutenant. He was known for his big heart, great leadership skills, positive attitude and overall wonderful personality that was loved by all who knew him. Billy also enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, bingo, and his cup of coffee with friends.  Billy may have been large in stature but he was a teddy bear at heart and made a huge impact in all the lives he touched.  He was a huge family man, who loved spending time with his family and friends making lasting memories they will treasure forever.

He is survived by his wife and soul mate of 40 years, Connie Mike Narretto; beautiful daughters, Julia Meredith and husband Nick, Ida Narretto; precious grandchildren, Tory and Jenna Meredith; siblings, John V. Narretto Jr. and wife Sue, Dennis Overton Narretto, and Colleen Schaerer; brother and sisters-in-law, Joseph Mike III, Kimberly Sumrall and husband Randy, Vicky Mike; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved pets.
