In Loving Memory of Lori Quinn Harris

Lori Quinn Harris was born on September 5, 1975, in Bogalusa, Louisiana. In 1994, she graduated from Bogalusa High School. She then attended Pearl River Community College, where she earned an associate degree in Banking and Finance in 1997.

Following graduation, she began her career with Resource Bank in 1999, as a teller in Bogalusa. In 2002, she became a Loan Administrative Assistant at the Covington Branch. In 2008, she became the Loan Administrative Manager and in 2015, she was promoted to Senior Vice President.

With heavy hearts, yet unwavering hope in the promises of Christ, we celebrate the life of Lori Quinn Harris, who entered the presence of her Savior on August 6, 2026, at the age of 50, after a courageous battle with cancer. While her passing leaves an immeasurable void in the lives of those who loved her, her family rejoices knowing she is completely healed and at peace in the arms of Jesus. Lori’s life was a beautiful reflection of God’s love, marked by quiet strength, unwavering faith, genuine kindness, and a servant’s heart. She lived each day with grace, loving deeply, giving generously, and always pointing others toward the hope she found in the Lord.

Lori was a devoted wife to her husband, Jason, for 28 years and an adoring mother to her son, Brendan. She loved Jason deeply and was incredibly proud of the life and family they built together. Being Brendan’s mother was Lori’s greatest joy and proudest accomplishment. One of her final and most cherished blessings was watching Brendan marry the love of his life in the comfort of her hospital room; a beautiful moment that fulfilled one of her greatest prayers and brought her immeasurable peace.

Lori had a remarkable gift for making friends wherever she went. Though she possessed a quiet spirit, she also had a warmth that drew people to her. She never met a stranger and never missed an opportunity to offer a smile, a kind word, or a helping hand. She loved with her whole heart and gave of herself freely, always putting the needs of others before her own. Whether through a thoughtful gesture, a listening ear, or simple acts of kindness, Lori left every person she encountered feeling seen, valued, and loved.

When cancer became part of her story, Lori faced it with extraordinary courage and unwavering faith. She fought like a warrior, meeting every challenge with strength, grace, and a steadfast confidence that God remained in control. She often said that whether God chose to heal her on this side of Heaven or welcome her into His presence, she trusted His perfect plan completely. Her faith never faltered. Even in the hardest moments, she remained a source of encouragement and hope to those around her, reminding others that God’s promises are always greater than our fears.

Lori’s favorite passage of Scripture was Proverbs 31:25–31, and she lived its words each day. She was truly “clothed with strength and dignity”, facing the future without fear because her hope was anchored in Christ. She spoke with wisdom, extended kindness to everyone she met, faithfully cared for those she loved, and lived a life worthy of honor. Her life was a testimony that true beauty is found in a heart that fears the Lord, and her legacy of faith, love, compassion, and service will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Lori was preceded in death by her mother, Judy Thompson Quinn; her grandfather, James Quinn; grandmother, Beatrice Wallace; and father-in-law, Clifford McDaniel.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Jason; her beloved son, Brendan (Katherine); her father, Wallace Quinn; her brother, Jason Quinn; her mother-in-law, Susan McDaniel, father-in-law, Willie Harris (Ann), brother-in-law, Chad Harris (Karen), and nieces; Mary and Sarah.

She is also remembered by a host of aunts, uncles, extended family members, work colleagues, and friends.

Lori was an active member of Woodland Park Baptist Church and the Truth Seekers Sunday School Class where she was fondly referred to as “baby girl”. She enjoyed attending support groups and fundraisers for cholangiocarcinoma, and she treasured meeting with her Soul Sisters monthly.

Though Lori’s absence leaves an immeasurable void, her family finds comfort in knowing that she has received the healing she faithfully trusted God to provide. Her legacy of faith, strength, kindness, and unconditional love will live on in every life she touched.

Visitation will be held at Woodland Park Baptist Church, 1909 JW Davis Drive, Hammond Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until funeral services at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Averette Cemetery, Loranger, LA.
