Lorena Cook

Lorena Cook passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, at the age of 83. She was born on Tuesday, March 17, 1942, in Pasadena, Texas to the late Geneva and Alton Welch. She was a resident of Hammond, Louisiana.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Earl Cook; daughter & son-in-law; Laura Kearns (Michael); sister and brother-in-law, Tawnya Corwin (Bob); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Geneva and Alton Welch; and brother, Ayron Welch.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at 1:00 pm until service begins at 3:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
