Lois Rita Hoover

Ps 95:1 "Come let us sing joyfully to the Lord, the Rock of our Salvation"
At 95 years of age, HIS good and faithful servant, Lois Harrison Hoover passed away peacefully April 19, 2024, at Keval Exquisite Care, LLC, Deerfield Beach, FL. Lois was born February 17, 1929 in New Orleans, LA. Lois was preceded in death by the love of her life, James Perry Hoover, who she married September 3, 1950 in New Orleans, LA. They also resided in Baton Rouge, LA.
Survived by her son, Byron James Hoover and his wife, Colleen Early Hoover; and daughter, Patricia Hoover Dicharry and her husband, Daniel Louis Dicharry and by seven adored grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. Lois is survived by her brother, Paul Harrison and sister, Mary Ann Harrison Waguespack Trevett.
Lois was preceded in death and reunited with her daughter, Mary Ellen Hoover Treadaway and son-in-law, Clifford Treadaway; also her parents: James Harrison and Dorothy Navo Harrison and her brothers: James Harrison, Benjamin Harrison and sisters: Lorraine Harrison Pentes, Elizabeth (Betty) Harrison Cutrera and new born sister baptized Dorothy.
Lois was a 1946 graduate from St. Joseph High School in New Orleans, LA. She was dedicated to her faith as a parishioner at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ponchatoula, LA. The family wishes to thank all those who touched her life!
A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 27th. from 11:30a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home, 2000 North Morrison Blvd. Hammond LA. 70401.Following the visitation, Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 255 N 8th St., Ponchatoula, LA. at 1:30pm, Rev. Paul McDuffie will officiate. Interment will follow at Arnold Family Cemetery, Airport Rd, Hammond, LA.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 28105 or to St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Joseph Catholic Church, P.O. Box 368, Ponchatoula, LA 70454.
