Lois Gayle Eason Berry

Lois Gayle Eason Berry passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2016, at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 78.  She was born on Wednesday, August 3, 1938 to the late Lydia Morehead Eason and Laurie C. Eason, Sr.  She was a native of New Orleans, she resided in St. Bernard Parish for many years, and was currently residing in Ponchatoula, LA.

Lois is survived by her beloved husband, Robert Merlin Berry, Sr.; son & daughter-in-law, Robert M. Berry, Jr. and Janet Taylor Berry, daughter & son-in-law, Lisa Berry Shaw and Calvin Shaw, and son & daughter-in-law, Lance M. Berry, Sr. and Debbie Kimble Berry;  one brother, Laurie C. "Spud" Eason, Jr.; 7 grandchildren, Lance M. Berry, Jr., Stephanie Shaw, Ryan Berry, Calvin Shaw,  Amy Berry, Spencer Shaw, and Austin Berry; and 3 great-grandchildren, Kohl, Parker, and Abigail.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lydia Morehead Eason and  Laurie C. Eason, Sr., and her sister, Cleo Boisdore Oxford.

In accordance with the wishes of Lois and at her family's request, private funeral services were held in the Ponchatoula Chapel of Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home.
