Lois Frances Husser Dowling

Lois Frances Husser Dowling, was born August 5, 1923, in Amite, LA to the late Hypolite Husser and Clementine Flynn Husser.  She passed away September 22, 2022, at her residence.  She was 99 years old.  She is survived by her son, William “Billy” Dowling and wife (Mary); daughter, Lola Jordan; grandchildren, Rabbit Conanan (Daniel), Joshua Jordan, Ingrid Rodriguez (Adrian), William Jordan, Kayla Higgins (Wyatt), and Genevieve Durkee (Jacob); great-grandchildren, Madeleine Conanan, Fisher Conanan, Caroline Higgins, Miranda Rodriguez, and Ruby Rodriguez. Lois is preceded in death by her husband, William Lyle Dowling; grandson, Wolf Jordan; siblings, Amos Husser, Mable Burnett, Lula Husser, Lillian Casanova, Bede Husser, Alfred “Freddie” Husser (Artemis), and Norman Husser. Lois graduated from Amite High School and retired from Southeastern Louisiana University Controller’s Office. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 North Morrison Boulevard, from 9 am until 11 am.
