Lloyd Benjamin Herrod

Lloyd Benjamin Herrod, of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the age of 38. Lloyd was a loving father, companion, son, and brother. He often spoke about wanting to be a daddy and it was a role he cherished above all others. A true lover of the outdoors, he was always in his element when he was fishing. Lloyd leaves behind many cherished memories and a profound sense of loss for all who knew him.

Lloyd is survived by his life partner, Jacquelynn Arnold; children, Landen, Rowen, and Laken Herrod; father, Jay Herrod (Joy); brother, Jacob Herrod (Allison); step mother, Stephanie Day (Derrick); uncle, Raymond Martin (Amber); aunt, Darlene Normand; grandfather, Steven Lanier; and numerous cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Arlene Martin Herrod; brother, Jeffery Herrod; grandparents, Margaret Martin, Lloyd Martin, Carol Lanier, Jasper Herrod, Sr., and Aileen Herrod; uncle, Rory Martin; and cousin, Kelsey Martin.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Saturday, August 22, 2026 from 11:00 am until the Memorial Service begins at 1:00 pm.

Lloyd will be placed with his mother at Jerusalem Baptist Church Cemetery in Pumpkin Center, Louisiana.
