Lloyd George Ruth

Lloyd George Ruth passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at the age of 73.  He was born on Monday, October 1, 1945 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Augusta Mertis Allen and the late Lloyd August Ruth.  He was a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Lloyd was a long-time musician who specialized in playing the piano and guitar.  In his retirement, he became a carpenter.  Lloyd was a father figure and loving Paw-Paw to many.

Lloyd is survived by his wife, Phyllis Pruitt Ruth; brother, Raymond Ruth; and sisters, Lea Trille, Nancy Ruth, Leslie Brosard, and Harriet Willis.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd August Ruth; mother, Augusta Mertis Allen; brother, Newell Ruth; and two children, John Lloyd, and Kirk Ruth; .

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd. Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 12:00 pm until the funeral service begins at 2:00 pm.
