Lloyd Edward Finch

Lloyd E. Finch, age 66, peacefully passed away on Monday, November 18th, 2024 at his home. He was born in Covington, Louisiana to the late John and Joyce Finch. Lloyd enjoyed working, period, any type of work, whether is was welding, carpentry, field work, truck driving, or anything that was needed, he always put his all into anything he touched. Any project by his hands was done right the first time and would last a lifetime. When Lloyd wasn't busy working on something, he loved to take his dogs for a ride on his Kubota side by side through his beautiful fields full of sunflowers, which he planted himself. He was a wonderful brother and friend to all who knew him and is already deeply missed.

He leaves behind his siblings, Cheryl McCrory (Mike), John Finch III (Sharon), Dennis Finch (Penny), Steve Finch (Julie), and Kevin Conway Finch (Miranda); numerous nieces and nephews; friend and caregiver, Tina Davis; best friend, Milton Schleismann; employer and friend, Jay Addison; special friends, Steve and Debbie Faust, James and Reba Tycer; as well as his furbabies, Sassy and Posie.

Preceding him in death were his parents, John and Joyce Finch; and his siblings, Bruce Leander Finch, Annie Ruth Hughes.

Family and friends are invited to his visitation on Sunday, November 24th 2024 at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. A graveside service will follow in Loranger Community Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. 

The family would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to St. Tammany Hospital Hospice for their love and care during his final journey.
