Lizzie Victoria DiMattia

Lizzie Victoria DiMattia, 60 years old of Independence, Louisiana, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at North Oaks Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Monday, September 9, 1963, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Lizzie is survived by her husband, Luke DiMattia, III; daughter, Laura Marie DiMattia; daughter & son-in-law, Lacy DiMattia Smith and Michael James Smith; granddaughters, Isabella Victoria Smith, and Eliza Posey Smith; mother, Georgia Edwards Wheat; step-father, Chet Heidel; sisters, Linda Guitreau, Kathy West (Gerald), and Peggy Jones; brother, Phillip Wheat (Patricia); nieces and nephews, Candina, Tijuana, Jacob, Alana, Bethany, Jessica, Justin, Mandi, Matthew, Chastity, Ariel, Jessica, Jacquelyn, Christopher, Priscilla, Rebecca, Sandee, Joshua, and Tommy Jr.; also survived by numerous great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Johnnie "Snake" Harvey Wheat; niece and nephews, Nicole, Blake,and David; great nephew, Joshua Luke Jones; and brother-in-law, Carl Guitreau.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Sunday, February 18, 2024, from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm.

A funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Sunday at 2:00 pm.

Interment will follow at Colonial Cemetery Mausoleum in Independence, Louisiana.
