Lionel Marty F. St. Martin III

After a courageous and lengthy battle with cancer, Lionel Marty F. St. Martin, III, age 56, passed away peacefully at his home in Ponchatoula, on July 13, 2022. Marty was born on December 18, 1965, to his loving parents, Margie and Lionel St. Martin II. Marty was the husband of Kim St. Martin and loving father to their children, Josh, Emmi, and Alli St. Martin.

Marty was a family man that enjoyed spending time with his wife and children, especially on their yearly lake trips. He was a member of Woodland Park Baptist Church where he spent several years helping with the children ministry. He graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a B.S. in Accounting. He spent 32 years working for the State of Louisiana and was currently the Auditor Supervisor for the Department of Public Safety Internal Audit. Recently, he received the Superintendent Award for Excellence for his years of dedication to his job.

He is survived by his wife and children, as well as his sisters Debbie Sigler and Mandy Vicknair (Bobby); his brother, Larry St. Martin (Andrea); his father-in-law Ed Buckley, his mother-in-law Judy Buckley, his sister-in-law, Shelley Wood (Chad) and his brother-in-law, Brent Buckley (Sarah) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Margie and Lionel St. Martin II, his sister Michelle St. Martin and his brother-in-law, Chris Sigler.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Monday, July 18, 2022, at 11:00 am. Visitation will be held at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Hammond on Monday, July 18, 2022, from 9:00 am until service time.
