Linda Wagner Holton

Linda Wagner Holton passed away in her home surrounded by her family and was welcomed into Heaven by her Heavenly Father on Thursday, May 16, 2019, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 65.

Linda was born on Saturday, September 5, 1953 in Lafayette, Louisiana. She was a resident of Hammond, Louisiana her adult life, after growing up in Loranger. She enjoyed being with family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She worked at Central Progressive Bank for 28 years, volunteered in the community, and was an active member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She will be deeply missed by all.

Linda is survived by her loving daughters, Holly Holton-Duncan and her husband Brian, Jaime Holton Gennardo, and Ashley R. Easley; granddaughters, Lauren Duncan Kovacs and her husband Joseph, Madalyn Claire, Morgan Grace Duncan, and Genna Simone Gennardo; great-grandchildren, Audrey Cate, Nora Jane, George Nathaniel Kovacs, and one on the way; siblings, Diane Anthony and husband Jeff, Chuck Wagner and wife Julie, and Raymond Wagner and wife Joni; sister-in-law, Kathy Shockley and husband Keith; brother-in-law, Billy Holton; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, George Robert Holton; parents, Charles Malcolm Wagner Sr. and Mary Irene Overmier Wagner; sister, Debbie Easley; son-in-law, Chad Gennardo; great grandson, David Kovacs; mother and father-in-law, Helen and Leon Tycer; and sister and brother-in-law, Lo and Mike Karcher.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Immanuel Baptist Church, 1503 Pecan St., Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Saturday, May 25, 2019, from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm, with the Homecoming Service beginning at 3:00 pm.  

Interment will follow at Rose Memorial Park Cemetery in Hammond, Louisiana.
