Linda Simmons

Linda Simmons passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 73. She was born on Sunday, June 8, 1952 in Independence, Louisiana to the late Edna and John Powell. She was a resident of Hammond, Louisiana.

Linda is survived by her one son; multiple nieces and nephews; as well as 12 grand and 13 great-grandchildren; and sister, Kathy Hilburn.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Anthony Simmons; and siblings, Joyce Pearson, Mini Faye McMorris, Ethel Mae Cutrer, Chuck and Bobby Powell.
