Linda Jane Brayden Haschak

Linda Jane Brayden Haschak, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister died August 25, 2019 at the age of 77. She was born on January 6, 1942 to Thomas Brayden, Sr. and Dorothy Lane Brayden.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Thomas Brayden, Jr., daughter Teri Meiners Hopkins, and grandson Justin David Hopkins.

She is survived by her husband, Paul G. Haschak of Hammond, LA. She also leaves a daughter, Lorraine Meiners-Lovel (Gerald Lovel), four granddaughters Anna McDaniel (Marc), Julia McGaughy (Zerrick), Sara Lovel, and Amelia Lovel all of Memphis, TN. Mrs. Haschak leaves two great grandsons. She is also survived by three brothers, Charles Brayden, Sr. (Esther), Robert Brayden, and Mark Brayden(Iris), and a sister Elaine Brayden Gautier.

Mrs. Haschak was an avid reader and doer of crossword puzzles, especially after her retirement from the library at Southeastern Louisiana University. She was also a great cook who enjoyed hosting family for holiday meals and teaching children to cook.

A private family service is planned at a later date. If you’d like to remember Linda, read a library book, do the Sunday crossword, or teach a child to prepare a nutritious meal and know that you’ve made her smile.
