Linda Freire

Linda Freire passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023, in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, at the age of 71, after a long battle with breast cancer. She was born on Wednesday, September 12, 1951 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Rose  and Pershing Oubre, Sr. She was a resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana. Linda was very loved by her family, who meant everything to her, and was cherished by all. She was passionate about taking care of her family, especially cooking for them. Linda loved her patio, where she enjoyed bird watching. 

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Lloyd Freire, Jr.; daughter & son-in-law, Tina Buras (Gary), and their children, Madeline and Ethan Buras; son & daughter-in-law, Keith  Freire (Jennifer), and their children, Logan and Molly Freire; sister, Rosemary Robin (Perry); and was loved by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rose and Pershing Oubre, Sr.; and her brother, Pershing Oubre, Jr.
