Lillie Marie Courtney Wren

Lillie Marie Courtney Wren, 80 of Walker, LA passed away October 26, 2023, at her home. Marie was born in Corbin, LA and was a member of Son light Christian Church in Walker, LA.  She retired from Livingston Head Start, Early Education as a teacher’s aide, AKA “Grandma” to many children.  After retirement she enjoyed going to the Denham Springs Chapter Council on Aging daily where she met many friends. Marie was not only the matriarch of her family but to extended and family and friends as well.

Marie is survived by 3 daughters, Trish Muller (Shawn), Pam Ware (Wally) & Charlene Bordelon (Noopy), 13 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 4 brothers and sisters, numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Wren, son, James Wren, parents, Ellie and Zeona Courtney and brother, Charlie Courtney.

Services will be held at CrossTruth Ministries, 17457 Wes McLin Rd, Ste C, Livingston, LA  70754. Wake service will be October 29, 2023; 5pm - 9pm, visitation October 30, 2023, 12pm - 2pm, funeral service 2pm.  Burial immediately following at Ellie Courtney Family Cemetery.  Pallbearers James Wren, Mark Blount, Michael Ware, Jacob White, Ray Courtney, Jr., Timmie Blake, Donnie Ware & Jason Maudlin. Honorary pallbearers are Amanda McDonald and Anita White.
