Lessie Marie Arnone

Lessie Marie Arnone, resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away on Wednesday , September 11, 2024, at the age of 66 surrounded by her family. She was born on Sunday, September 22, 1957, in Independence, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Christa Jane Allen Neal and Willis Wesley Neal.

Lessie's love for her family, particularly her grandbabies, was evident in everything she did. She always made it a priority to ensure that they felt loved and appreciated. Her instinctual ability to provide comfort was a testament to her remarkable mother’s intuition. Lessie had a way of fussing at her husband, which was her unique expression of love and showing him how much she cared for him.

Her kitchen was often filled with the aroma of delicious meals, as she believed in the Italian way of cooking and feeding everyone who came to visit. It was not uncommon for friends and family to leave her home with full bellies and happy hearts. 

As a nature lover, Lessie enjoyed spending time outdoors and showing off her green thumb by tending to her plants.

She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Anthony Arnone Sr.; children, Anthony Arnone Jr., and his wife, Ashley and Amber Smith, and her husband, Mike; grandchildren, Ian, Emily, Brennan, Claire, McKayla, and Luke; and great-granddaughter, Nova Rose. 

Lessie was preceded in death by her parents. 

Services for Lessie will be held privately.
