Le’Roy Courteaux was born October 19, 1946, in New Orleans, LA.  He passed away December 17, 2020, at his residence in Amite, LA.  He was a Marine Corp veteran of the Vietnam War.  Known as the “Father of Enzymes”, Le’Roy was the owner and founder of Vida New Orleans International and the Karma System.  He was a parishioner of St. Helena Roman Catholic Church and The Knights of Columbus.  Le’Roy will be remembered for his sarcastic wit. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Judith Courteaux; children, Michelle Courteaux, Le’Roy Courteaux, Jr, (Nancy), Anthony Courteaux and Corey Courteaux; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; siblings, Johnie Boudin (Cindy), Paul Bodin, (Beth), Lena Schultz, Ann Maria Strecker,(Mark), and Peter Webster, (Wayne). Le’Roy is preceded in death by his mother, Ann Creel; and daughter, Gwendolyn Courteaux.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held July 29, 2021, at 10:00 am in St. Helena Catholic Church, 122 South First Street, Amite, LA, followed by burial, with military honors, at Shiloh Church of Christ Cemetery, 20145 East Bell Road, Amite, LA.
