Leon Morgan, Sr.

Leon Morgan, Sr., was born February 10, 1937, in Amite to the late Oscar H. and Mary Hagan Morgan.  He passed away August 22, 2021, in Chalmette at age 84.  He was a resident of Chalmette and a retired automobile mechanic.  He was the father of Leon Morgan, Jr., brother of Yvonne Chapman, and the late Oscar H. Morgan, Jr., Roy Morgan, Maude Herring, Irma Childs and Virginia Martin; and the former husband of the late Catherine D. Morgan. Visitation will be at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 North Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, Thursday, August 26, 2021, from 9:00 am until religious services at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel.  Interment will follow in Colonial Cemetery, Independence.
