Leon Henry Diebold Jr.

Leon Henry Diebold Jr., native of New Orleans and resident of Hammond, passed away at University Hospital in New Orleans on Thursday, May 28, 2020, at the age of 72. He was born on August 12, 1947, the son of the late Leon Henry Diebold Sr. and Annabelle Fossier Diebold. Leon was a member of St. Albert Catholic Student Center's local support community.

Leon is survived by his wife of 47 years, Gail Mipro Diebold; sons, Steven J. Diebold (Elizabeth) and Christopher M. Diebold; grandchildren, Elise, Victoria and Cooper; siblings, Melanie Stein, Gregory Diebold Sr. and Kimberly Rogers; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held privately. Family and friends are encouraged to send condolences and share memories online.

Leon’s final resting place will be Rosaryville Cemetery in Ponchatoula, Louisiana.

In lieu of flowers, Mass may be requested in Leon's memory from St. Albert Catholic Student Center, 409 W. Dakota St. Hammond, LA 70401..
