Lena Marie Alack DiBenedetto

Lena Marie Alack DiBenedetto was born in Hammond, Louisiana, to the late Joe and Josephine Scarino Alack. She passed away at her residence in Hammond on November 19, 2024, at the age of 92. She was a parishioner of Holy Ghost Catholic Church. 

Lena is survived by her son, Joey DiBenedetto (Elaine), and is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph DiBenedetto; son, T.J. DiBenedetto; granddaughter, Tori Jo DiBenedetto; brothers, Charles Alack, Russell Alack, and Nick Alack; and sister, Sarah Cali. 

A special thank you to Lena's Godchild, Peggy Alack, who loved her dearly and cared for her daily. 

Visitation will be held at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, on Sunday, November 24, 2024, from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visitation will continue at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 600 N. Oak St., Hammond, on Monday, November 25, 2024, from 9:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial starts at 11:00 am. 

Entombment will follow at Rose Memorial Park Mausoleum in Hammond, Louisiana.
