Leandro âDroâ Salomon Pena
Leandro went to the great fishing hole in the sky on Monday, January 10, 2022. Â He was known as the fun guy, always making jokes, singing silly songs, or dancing around, really anything to make people laugh. Â Dro was very hard worker and was the best at everything he did and instilled that quality into his three girls growing up. Â He was born in the great state of Arizona, which he loved dearly, since becoming a Louisianian, he embraced the entire Cajun experience and fell in love with the culture, from the pastalaya and boudin to catching red fish on his boat and jeeping, he became one of the people. Â The best part of his life would be his family who was with him every step of the way, whom will treasure all the memories they have made together. Â Dro was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 20 years, Angelena âAngieâ Pena; beautiful daughters, Alyssa Sernas and husband Christopher Verdin, Brianna Pena and Alesandra âAllieâ Pena; adoring grandchildren who called him âGampyâ, Kaleb Leandro Sernas, Skyler Verdin, Vincent Verdin; siblings, Michelle Pena, April Ann Pena, Lorenzo âChatoâ Pena Jr. and wife April; as well as his mother, Mary Lou Ramirez; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death by his father, Lorenzo Pena Sr.; grandparents, Antonio Baca Pena and Agripina Guruley Pena; as well as his precious dogs, Chloe and Rowdy Pena; and his goat, Hank.
