Lea Synthia Schaub

Lea Synthia Schaub passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at the age of 55. She was born on Saturday, April 4, 1970 in San Jose, California to her mother, Synthia Stich Yancy and her father, the late Robert Krippner. She was a resident of Loranger, Louisiana. Lea was married to Ruppert Schaub III, who survives her.

Lea's health started declining several years ago when she had a serious fall, which affected her memory. Not long after that, she was diagnosed with tonsil cancer and she became unable to work as a nurse in the hospital. Her loss of memory and physical pain led to depression and made ordinary life hard to manage. Her immune system was so weakened that this summer she contracted pneumonia which landed her in the ER. At the hospital, complications from pneumonia led to a lack of oxygen in her body which led to a heart attack and she passed away to be with the Lord.

Throughout everything, her faith was strong and she remained close to the Lord.

More than anything, Lea and Rupper loved her 5 children, their spouses, and 2 grandchildren. Lea felt so blessed to have them. Her mother, Sindy is currently helping with her younger children. Tyler is 15 and will be a sophomore and Trinity is 13, entering 8th grade. While they have a lot of support from their older siblings, Scott, Sierra and Trent, Sindy has come to Louisiana and is currently helping with the younger children.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, beginning at 10:00 AM until the funeral service begins at 11:00 AM.

Interment will follow in Loranger Community Cemetery, Loranger, Louisiana.
