Lawuna Norwood Dunkin

Lawuna Norwood Dunkin, age 89 of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2019, at Specialty Hospital in Terry, Mississippi. She was born on Thursday, May 8, 1930, in McComb, Mississippi, to Robert and Ora Kenny Norwood. Lawuna enjoyed life and loved rose gardening and collecting antiques, but she especially loved spending time with her family. 

Lawuna is survived by her children,Carl (Cathy), Leon (Jessica) and Crecia (Mike), her grandchildren, Dylena,William, Paige, Conner, Shannon, Michelle, Alecia and Johanna, her great grandchildren, Julianah, Shylah, Liam, Emma, Dakota, Tabitha, Sebron, Jokota,Sabrina, Chaslyn, Lorenzo, Whitney, Coty, Casey, Logan, Juan, Selena, Christian and Adriana, her great great grandchildren, Alexis, Kaisyn, Audrey, Emmrey, Chloe, Leo, Terry Lynn, Gracie Lynn, John Joseph, Evelyn and Declynn, her sisters, Anna and Ann Vera, and her brothers, Hubert and Dick Norwood, also many nieces, nephews and close friends. 

Lawuna was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ora Kenny Norwood, her daughter, Lavina, her granddaughter, Chasity, her sister, Herlye, and her brothers, Lucian, Shelton, Buddy, and Bryant. 

A Visitation for Lawuna will beheld on Sunday, August 18, 2019 from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula. A Funeral Service Celebrating Lawuna's Life will immediately follow visitation at 3:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Sand Hill Cemetery in Ponchatoula.
