Laura Ann Costanza

Laura entered into her eternal life on February 2nd at the age of 88. She was born October 23rd, 1935 to Philip and Lucy Costanza (Ruffino) in Amite, La. 

She graduated from Amite High School. She then began a career with ATT before becoming the bookkeeper for the family-owned Fisher’s Bargain Center of Amite. 

Laura volunteered many, many, years, along with her sister, Virginia, at North Oak Hospital and with Catholic Daughters. She was well respected by everyone that she knew. 

Laura was an outstanding cook and enjoyed making everyone’s favorite dishes and treats. She also loved traveling with her family and friends. She was a devoted daughter, sister, and aunt who unselfishly gave of herself to care for her family her entire life. 

Laura is preceded in death by her parents, Philip and Lucy, her youngest brother, Louis Costanza, her oldest sister, Virginia Fisher, and her sister-in-law, Lynette Costanza. 

She is survived by her brother Sonny Costanza, of Amite, sister Mary Perrin, and husband Iggy, of Hammond. Sister-in-law, Cindy Costanza of Okmulgee, OK, and Uncle Louis S. Ruffino, Jr of Baton Rouge. Nieces Malissa Costanza, Jessica Costanza, and Candice Piediscalzo. Nephews Mark Perrin, Brian Costanza, Todd Perrin, and Caleb Costanza. Along with many great nieces and nephews. 

Viewing is Wednesday, February 7th from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son  Funeral Home, 2000 North Morrison Blvd. Hammond, Louisiana 70401. Visitation will continue at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 600 North Oak Street, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Thursday, February 8th from 10:00 am until the Mass of Christian begins at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow at Amite Memorial Gardens.
