Larry Prowell

Larry peacefully passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family.  He was a proud veteran of the US Army.  Larry enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking and just being outdoors.  He loved to root for the Saints, and hang out with his favorite brother-in-law, Jim Gros, getting into all kinds of mischief.  Larry was known to be able to fix just about anything, from cars to TVs, gadgets to things about the house.  Him and his wife Patricia would work on projects together to spend more time with each other, which those memories will be cherished forever.

He leaves behind his wife of 32 years, Patricia Prowell; daughter, Nicole Joanna Graham (Russo); grandchildren, Brianna Russo Sikes (Jacob), Brailyn Russo; great-grandchildren, Julian and Jayden Sikes; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceding Larry in death are his parents, Roy Prowell and Rose Catalanatto Miladin; sisters, Vivian Waltman and Linda Pannier; and nephews, Clifford and Johnny Elston.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Bro. Calvin Gravois will be officiating the services with burial to follow in Rose Memorial Park Cemetery.
