Kenneth T. Mounce

Kenneth Tyronne Mounce, age 77, of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 27, 2020. He was born on December 31, 1942, in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, to Dodson Clarence and Emma Roxanne Hill Mounce. Kenneth was an awesome grandpa who loved spending time with his grandkids and his family. He enjoyed life and loved working around their home, fishing, gardening, and being outdoors. 

Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of almost 57 years, Mary Hoover Mounce, his sons, Keith Mounce (Christie) and Steven Mounce, his daughters, Aleata M. Brown (Wendell) and Julie M. Howes (Don), 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, his brothers, Clarence Mounce and Malcolm Mounce (Vicky), his sisters, Marie Mounce, Verena McFadden, Joy Appleman (Robert) and Annette Bassett (Lecil), also many nieces, nephews, bonus grandchildren, great grandchildren, many close friends and his fur buddy Thibadeaux. 

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Dodson Clarence and Emma Roxanne Hill Mounce, his sister, Delores Quave, and his infant twin siblings. 

A visitation for Kenneth will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2020 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and continue Sunday August 2, 2020 from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond. A funeral service celebrating Kenneth's life will immediately follow Sunday's visitation at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Bennett Family Cemetery in Goodbee, Louisiana. 

Face masks are now mandatory to attend any visitation or service at the funeral home. Thank you for your cooperation.
