Katherine E. Kreko

Katherine E. Kreko, lovingly know as Aunt TiTi, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 90. She was born on Wednesday, August 8, 1934 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Katie and Peter Aranyosi. She was a resident of Hammond, Louisiana.

Katherine is survived by her nieces and nephews, Larry (Crystal), Byron David (Connie) Aranyosi , Roseann DePhillips, Jewel Barrilleaux, Peter Louis Aranyosi (Carol), Derra Morici (John), Suzie Oulliber (Paul), and Corrin "Coco" Bishop (John); her first cousins Laramie Nyeki (Crystal), Suzan Nyeki Monic (Louis) and Mark Nyeki, sister-in-law, Thelma Aranyosi; as well as numerous other great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin "Sonny" Kreko; parents, Katie and Peter Aranyosi; brothers, Peter, Julius (Ann) and little Billy "Bela" Aranyosi; nephew, William Billy Aranyosi; and first cousin, Mary Ann Aranyosi.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, from 9:00 am - 10:30 am at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, LA 70401. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Margaret Catholic Church, 30300 Catholic Hall Road, Albany, Louisiana 70711, at 11:00 am. 

Interment will follow in Rose Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum.
