Kathaleen Willcutt Gurganus

Kathaleen Willcutt Gurganus, 83, of Laplace, Louisiana, formerly of Chalmette, Louisiana, died Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Ormond Nursing & Care Center in Destrehan, Louisiana.

A private viewing will be held for the family in Hammond, Louisiana. She will be laid to rest with her late husband in the cemetery adjoining Flatwoods Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa County.

She is survived by her four daughters, Karen Kugler (Paul Kugler), Elaine Hansford (Oscar Hansford), Bonnie Brignac (Kevin Brignac) and Cheryl Boykin, all of Louisiana; eleven grandchildren, Jennifer Webb, Lacy Louque, Amy Kaplan, Buffy Adams, Naomi Hansford, Crystal Lacourse, Taylor Brignac, Kandice Cortes, Kristina Cortes and Kellie Cortes; and twenty-two great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents Elbert and Rilla, her husband Therman, her four siblings: JC, Eulis, Malcolm, and Marilyn, her grandson Destin and her great-granddaughter Kylah.

The family would like to pay special thanks to the team of Ormond Nursing & Care Center, for loving and tending to Kathaleen during the last five years of her life.
