Karen Sue Fisher Rodi

Karen Sue Fisher Rodi was born in Lake Charles, LA, September 9, 1939, to the late Dr. William Godwin Fisher and Maureen Herbert Fisher. She passed away at her residence in Hammond, LA, April 30, 2026. Karen was a schoolteacher and retired in 1984 from the St. Bernard Parish School System. She was a parishioner of Holy Ghost Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, John J. Rodi, Jr.; son, Bryan Rodi (Tiffany), stepsons, Dwayne Rodi (Michelle), and Wade Rodi (Theresa); sister, Ann Taylor; grandchildren, Lauren Heaney and Brandon Rodi; and two great grandchildren, Jaxon Heaney and Madison Heaney. In addition to her parents, Karen is preceded in death by her brothers, William Fisher and Stephen Fisher. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your favorite charity. Morrison Blvd., Hammond, LA, Monday, May 4, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. until 10:40 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 600 N. Oak Street, Hammond, at 11:00 a.m. Graveside services follows in All Saints Mausoleum, 5100 Ponchatrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA at 2:00 p.m.
