Kaleb Joseph Granier

Our little angel, Kaleb Joseph Granier, went to be with the Lord in Heaven on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at the age of 7 months and 25 days. He was born premature on Thursday, August 11, 2022, in New Orleans, Louisiana and spent four months in the NICU. Kaleb was unforgettable with a sweet personality and extremely expressive faces and gestures. He was such a fighter in the hospital and made it through so much that his parents brought him home in Marine Corps Dress Blues just like his veteran uncle would wear. Though he was with us for only a short time he touched our lives deeply and will be forever in our hearts.

Kaleb left behind a loving family, including his parents, April Pons Brunet and James Ray Granier, Jr.; siblings, Adrian Blume Granier, Jasmine Lynn Squatrito, Alexander Joseph Brunet, and Justin Mykel Brunet; grandparents, Becky and Dennis Shaikewitz, Connie Marie Barbin, and Jimmy Ray Granier; aunts and uncles, Jonathan Jeremiah Pierre, James Tibeau Pierre, Chelsea Adam Munsterman, Nicholas Adam, Dalton Granier, and Abby Granier Fortenberry; numerous cousins. Kaleb also had a large extended family that loved him so much including Angela Marie Squatrito, Zachery Bowen Soulier, and his Lee's Drive-In family.

He was welcomed in Heaven by his grandfather, Roger Bill Pons; great grandparents, Blume Joseph Barbin, Maria del Carmen Longoria Lovering, James H. Lovering, Lawrence Pons, and Betty Louella Maples Bagley; and uncle, Lawrence Gene Pons.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm with a funeral service beginning at 1:00 pm.

Interment will follow at Briar Patch Cemetery in Loranger, Louisiana.
