Justin Ray Settoon

Justin Ray Settoon, 29 years old of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away  Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at North Oaks Medical Center.

He was born on Sunday, February 7, 1988, in Hammond, son of Lester "Leroy" Settoon and Cathy Bannister Robinson.

Justin was a local artist and also worked as a carpenter with Bridges Builders for many years. Through his selfless act of organ donation, he was able to touch and even save many lives. Justin believed that "Good will always win and love will always conquer".

Surviving are his father, Lester "Leroy" Settoon, mother and stepfather, Cathy B. and Scott Robinson, brothers, Johnny, Joel, Jason and Josh Settoon, girlfriend, Skyler Boudreaux, grandmother, Eva O. Bannister, nephews, Liam and Trace Settoon, nieces, Brook, Gabrielle, Laura Ann, Lily Jo and Emmerson Settoon and his step-sisters, Erica Robinson Gregory and Paige Robinson.

He is preceded in death by grandparents, Leo and Bertha Settoon, grandfather, William "Honey" Bannister.

Friends will be received on Sunday, September 3, 2017 from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in  Ponchatoula.

A Celebration of Justin's Life will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel in Ponchatoula on Sunday,  at 3:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to either the funeral home for funeral expenses or the Brook Settoon Foundation, P. O. Box 80632, Baton Rouge, LA 70898. The family also requests people to buy local art and support the art community in Justin's memory.
