June Spano Cawvey

June Spano Cawvey passed away on Monday, September 18, 2017, at her residence in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 85.  She was born on Friday, November 13, 1931 in Marrero, Louisiana to the late Rosa Belle McNeely and  Frank Francis Spano, Sr.

June is survived by her beloved children: son, Richard "Dicky" H. Cawvey , Jr. and his wife, Cathy Kimball Cawvey, and her daughter, Kathy Cawvey Stevens and her husband, Wayne Stevens; her two loving grandsons, Joshua Stevens and his wife, Megan and Brett Stevens; three brothers, Dominick A. Spano, John "JD" Spano, and David "Dave" J. Spano.  Also survived by her adoring great grandchildren, Jude Allen, Alaina June, & the soon to be - Leah Michelle Stevens.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard H. Cawvey; her parents, Rosa & Frank F. Spano, Sr.; and one brother, Frank F. Spano, Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 601 North Oak Street, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 11:00 am.  Visitation will be held at church beginning at 9:00 am until 11:00 am.

The Cawvey Family would like to thank the nurses and staff of North Oaks Hospice for their compassionate care.

Interment will follow in Stevens Cemetery, Tickfaw, Louisiana.
