June Ann Fraychineaud Fos

June Ann Fraychineaud Fos passed away on Friday, June 14, 2024 in Ponchatoula, LA (two years to the day after the loss of the love of her life). She was born on June 1, 1940 in a house on Bartholomew St. in New Orleans to the late Albert Henry Steven and Mildred Agnes Budenich Fraychineaud. She was the fourth child of 15 children. June was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish before moving to Ponchatoula after Hurricane Katrina. 

June was a graduate of Francis T. Nicholls High School (Class of 1959) and married to her high school sweetheart, the late Peter Lawrence “Larry” Fos, Jr., on June 5, 1960. 

She was an avid quilter and enjoyed camping, square dancing, sewing, drinking tea, and playing cards. She loved traveling with her life partner and doting on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The love she had for her family was immeasurable. 

June is survived by her children, Denise Pellittieri (Sal Jr.), Peter Fos III (Debbie), and John Fos (Wanda); grandchildren, Katie Daher (Joseph), Amy Fleming (Shawn), Amanda Pellegrin (Dustin), Sal Pellittieri III (Samantha), Jessica Gray (Heath), Shane Fos, and Blaire Johnson (Triston); great-grandchildren, Oliver, Kenzie, Thomas, Grayson, Patrick, Samuel, Ethan, Lyana, Luke, Ella Kate, Lillian, Elijah, Grant, and one sweet great-grandchild on the way; siblings, Elsie (Harold) Boudreaux, Courtney (Maryanne) Fraychineaud, Gary (Gail) Fraychineaud, Althea (Dennis) Treitler, Millicent (Tom) Ancalade, Karen Sue McGiboney, Charlie (Linda) Fraychineaud, and Donna (Jeff) Koski, as well as an ever-growing host of nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents and husband, June is preceded in death by her brothers Bobby (Lena) Fraychineaud, Kayo (Marlyn) Fraychineaud, Albert (Carolyn) Fraychineaud, and her sisters Noelie Serpas Elliott, Juvonnie Smith, and Katherine Fraychineaud.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, 2000 N Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Saturday, June 22, 2024, from 10:00 AM until 12:30 PM. A funeral mass will follow the visitation at St. Margaret Catholic Church, 30300 Catholic Hall Road, Albany, Louisiana 70711, at 1:00 PM. 

Interment will follow in Rosaryville Cemetery, Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
