Julius "Jalopy" Aranyosi

Julius "Jalopy" Steve Aranyosi passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 surrounded by his family at the age of 80.  He was born on Monday, March 30, 1936 in Springfield, Louisiana to the late Katie Nyeki Aranyosi and the late Peter Aranyosi, Sr.  He was a resident of Albany, Louisiana.

Jalopy is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Ann Aranyosi; daughters, Jewel Barrileaux and Rose Ann DePhillips; sons, Larry Aranyosi and wife Crystal and David Aranyosi and wife Connie; brother, Peter Aranyosi, Jr.; sister, Katherine Kreko; grandchildren, Bucky Poolson, Brent DePhillips and wife Jessica, Blake Aranyosi and wife Jessica, Blair Aranyosi, Ben Aranyosi, Blane Aranyosi, Erica Aranyosi, Heather Aranyosi, Chloe Barrileaux, and Conner Barrileaux; and great-grandchildren, Trenton, Londyn, Brentley, Parker, Preston, Elliana, and Bella.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Katie Nyeki Aranyosi and Peter Aranyosi, Sr.; son, Billy Aranyosi, and brother, Billy Aranyosi.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation in the chapel of Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 10:00 am until the funeral service at 1:00 pm.  Interment will follow in Albany Hungarian Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
