Judy Marie Monistere

Judy Marie Monistere passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 84. She was born on Wednesday, May 1, 1940 in Ponchatoula, Louisiana to the late Rita and Alfaro (Static) Duplessis. She was a resident of Hammond, Louisiana.

Judy is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Nat Monistere; children, Keith Monistere (Inger), Natalie Ross (Bernie), Candy Sons (Shane) and Randy Monistere (Breigh); grandchildren, Stacey, Jason, Keith, Justin, Bradley, Holly, Abbie, Tony, Cassie, Aaron, Haley, Jonah, Brenna, Thor, Toby, Chae, Chris, Nick, Tyler, and their spouses that she loved as if they were her own; great-grandchildren, Brooke, Bryce, Kylee, Connor, Katie, Hunter, Braylin, Liliana, Miles, Averie, Elijah, Oakley, Emmitt, and Krista; great-great-grandchildren, Silas and Dillon; siblings, Katherine Juhasz (Joe), Glenn Duplessis, Norma Wiliams (Kenneth), and Glenn "Butch" Wall; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfaro (Static) and Rita Duplessis; sons, Ignatius Mitchell and Andrew Joseph (Sylvia) Monistere; siblings, Cecile Lea, Mary Wall, Dolores Duplessis, and Alfaro (Joe) Duplessis.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Visitation will continue Thursday, March 20, 2025 at 11:00 am until services begin at 1:00 pm.

Interment will follow in Rose Memorial Park Cemetery, Hammond, Louisiana.
