Judith Reeves Hoyt

Judith Anne Hoyt passed away on Monday, May 7, 2018, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 76.  She was born on Wednesday, April 15, 1942 in DeQuincy, Louisiana to the late Fredna Scoggin Reeves and the late Allen Richard Reeves Sr.  She was a resident of Hammond, Louisiana.

Judith is survived by her daughter, Sharon Way Sumpter and her husband Lance; sons, James Wesley Way and his wife Angela, and Joseph Allen Way, Jr.; grandchildren, Joseph Allen Way III, Heather Michelle Way, Meridith Jenae Nickens, Chelsea Marie Barends, Connor Yorke Tucker, and Samantha McInnis Way; great-grandchildren, Lucius Allen Way, Joseph Allen Way IV, Charlie Elise Way, Elijah Benjamin Nickens, Aiden James Nickens, Henry Scott Nickens, and Coen Ezekiel Barends, and sister, Margurite Carter.

She was preceded in death by her father, Allen Richard Reeves, Sr.; mother, Fredna Scoggin Reeves; husband, Robert Dale Hoyt; sister, Allena Longfellow; and brother, Allen Richard Reeves, Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 11:00 am until the Funeral Service at 2:00 pm.  

Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
