Joycelyn "Lynn" Perniciaro Jones

Joycelyn "Lynn" Perniciaro Jones, of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2022, at the age of 90. She was born on December 4, 1931, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Lynn was married to Leo Jones (former Athletic Director at SLU) for 72 years. She was a graduate of Southeastern and a former business teacher in Mississippi. She worked for Taylor & Sons Insurance Agency as an accountant in Hammond before retiring.

Lynn was a member of First Baptist Church in Hammond and was a dedicated Christian lady. She enjoyed reading, playing Bridge, attending sports events and of course visiting with her family.

Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Eula Perniciaro, and her brother, Ted. She and Leo have two sons, Steve (wife Jo'el) and Todd (wife Toni). Her grandchildren are Chris (wife Amanda), Cory, Cooper, and Kirstyn, and great-grandchildren, Colby, Chase, Cayden, Josie, and Livi.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am.

A Funeral Service will be held at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Hammond on Tuesday at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow at Rose Memorial Park Cemetery in Hammond, Louisiana.

Pallbearers will be Chris Jones, Cory Jones, Cooper Jones, Colby Jones, Jarrod Granger, Darren Gomilla, Jon DiMiceli, and Deacon Charles Spring.
