Joyce Louise Stafford

Joyce Louise Stafford, of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away at Landmark Nursing Center of Hammond on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at the age of 83. She was born on Friday, January 3, 1941, in New Orleans, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Alonzo Bowman and the late Rita Luella LeBlanc Bowman.

Joyce is survived by her sons, Samuel Stafford (Sheryl) and Donald Stafford (Kate), daughters, Allison Stafford and Joyce Marie Stafford Gardner, step-sons, Vernon Stafford (Sheila) and David Stafford, step-daughter, Sonya Schubert, sister, Annette Bowman Samson, brother, Kenneth Bowman, 17 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, John Stafford, daughter, Melinda Anne Stafford, grandson, Shelby Stafford, brothers, Timothy Bowman, Larry Bowman, Bruce Bowman, and Lonnie Bowman, and sister, Peggy Bowman.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Ponchatoula , 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454 on Monday, September 2, 2024 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm. 

A Funeral Service will be held at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Ponchatoula , 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454 on Monday at 1:00 pm.

Interment will follow at Ponchatoula Cemetery in Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
