Joyce Jean Facio Dupont

Joyce Jean Facio Dupont entered into eternal rest with Our Lord on July 1, 2021, at the age of 84. Survived by her devoted high school sweetheart and husband of 63 years, Erwin A. Dupont. Beloved mother of Deborah Dupont Oalmann (David), Donald Dupont (Lisa), David Dupont (Karen), and Darren Dupont. Loving and devoted grandmother to 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her father and mother, Julius J. Facio, Sr. and Ernestine (Tina) Foret Facio. Sister of Julius J. Facio, Jr. Special sister-in-law of Elaine Dupont Kuhn. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Joyce was a former resident of Arabi, Louisiana prior to Hurricane Katrina and a parishioner of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, where she was a Eucharistic Minister and was awarded the Order of St. Louis Medallion in 1993 by the Archdiocese of New Orleans.

Joyce was kind, devoted, and loving mother and the best grandmother ever to her grandkids who enjoyed their pool days, picnics, and vacations with her. She loved all of her babies and was excited to cuddle her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the joys of her life. She will be remembered for her generosity, love, and care. She was well-loved and will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home at 2000 North Morrison Blvd., Hammond, LA 70401, on Wednesday July 7, 2021, at 9:00 am. Services will be held on July 7, 2021, at Our Lady of Pompeii at 11:30 am. Entombment will follow at Rose Memorial Mausoleum.
