Joy Ballard

The Lord gained another Angel at Heavens gates.

Joy Ballard, a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother entered eternal rest on Saturday, November 2, 2019.  Joy was a native of Baton Rouge, La, a long time resident of Walker, La, and recently became a resident of Ponchatoula, La.  Joy graduated from Istrouma High School and went on to work and retire with the Department of Transportation and Development.  She had a great love for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren; her pets, doll collection, Disney World, fishing, motorcycling and gardening.

Joy was preceded in death by her parents Harvey and Vernie Ballard; bothers Newell Ballard and Gary Ballard; and her grandson Christopher Kelley.

Joy is survived by brother, Warren Ballard; sisters, Donice Havard and Reni Ballard; daughter, Patti Mears; sons, Rocky Kelley, Ron Kelley, and Daniel Kelley; grandchildren, Joshua Kelley, Stevie Kerenan, Steven Kelley, Dani Kelley, and Erin Kelley; great grandchildren; Jacob Reno, Jaxson Kelley, Luke Mims, and Naomi Kerenan.  

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm, on Friday, November 8, 2019, at Loranger Community Cemetery, (off Hwy 40) Cemetery Road, Loranger, Louisiana, 70446.
