Josephine Ann Santangelo Parent

Josephine Ann Santangelo Parent, of Natalbany, Louisiana, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at the age of 84. She was born on March 26, 1939, in Tickfaw, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Guy Santangelo and  Frances Morici Santangelo. Josephine was a good wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a longtime member of Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church.

Josephine is survived by her sons, Guy Parent, Sr. (Sarah), Bart Parent, and Brett Parent; grandchildren, Guy Parent Jr., Candace Greer (Kyle), Nicole "Nikki" Schroeder (Mike), Rocky Parent, Jamie Parent, Kenya Parent, Brittley Klein (Gerald), and Taylor Parent; great grandchildren, Ava, Braeden, Wyatt, Lincoln, James, Kade, Jackson, Garrison, and Jamison; sister, Mary Evelyn Rayburn (David); and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Parent.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Monday, July 10, 2023 from 9:00 am until 10:30 am. 

A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church, 14450 Hwy 442, Tickfaw, Louisiana 70466 on Monday at 11:00 am, with Fr. Mike Galea officiating.

Entombment will follow at Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Cemetery in Tickfaw, Louisiana.
