Josephine Frances Lamonte

Josephine Frances Lamonte passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2020, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 91.  She was born on Saturday, April 6, 1929 in Hammond, Louisiana to the late Cecilia Sciortino and Phillip Latino.  She was a resident of Hammond, Louisiana.

Josephine is survived by her children, Patricia Vestuto (Mike), Pete Lamonte (Evelyn), and Phillip Lamonte (Tanya); grandchildren, Tony Vestuto, Julie Lamonte Brooks, Christie Lamonte Cheramie, Lance Lamonte, Chase Frederic, Chatta Frederic, and Chanie Frederic Smith; great-grandchildren, Daniel Vestuto, Grayson Vestuto, Maggie Cheramie, Sophia Cheramie, Priscilla Lamonte, Luca Lamonte, and Lucy Jo Smith; and brothers Frank Latino and Leon Latino.

In addition to her parents, Josephine is also preceded in death by her husband, Joe Lamonte; grandson, Nick Vestuto; and siblings, Joe, Vincent, Mary, Jenny, Frances, and Tony.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Saturday, October 24, 2020 beginning at 9:00 AM until the funeral service begins at 11:00 am.  

Interment will follow in Rose Memorial Park Cemetery, Hammond, Louisiana.
