Joseph Nelson Wilson

Joseph Nelson Wilson, of Loranger, Louisiana, passed away at Belle Maison Nursing Home on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at the age of 87. He was born on Saturday, November 26, 1938, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Joseph was a proud diesel mechanic who took great pride in his work at Crawler Supply in Hammond, where he formed lasting friendships and cherished many meaningful memories. Above all else, he treasured time spent with his loving family, especially his grandchildren. Joseph will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Sylvia Jordan Wilson, daughters, Becky Clements (Brian), Sharon Cutrer, and Ramona Wilson; 2 grandchildren, Lauren Clements and Parker Clements, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Wilson and Margaret Baham Wilson.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Sunday, February 1, 2026 from 1:00 pm until the funeral service begins at 3:00 pm with Bro. Ken Brown officiating.

Interment will follow at Holly Gardens Cemetery in Hammond, Louisiana.
