Joseph Michael Sirchia

Joseph Michael Sirchia, of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away peacefully surrounded by his devoted wife and children on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the age of 68. He was born on Wednesday, January 8, 1958, in Independence, Louisiana, the son of the late John Vincent Sirchia and Joan Starns Sirchia. Joseph was a loving and caring man whose big heart touched many lives. He was known as someone who would help anyone and who was always there for those he loved. His deep love for his family was at the center of his life, and he brought warmth to others through his generous spirit, his smile, and his joy in dancing.

He retired from the Louisiana Department of Corrections, where he served as a probation and parole agent. After retirement, he continued his life of service as a deputy with the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office until he could no longer work due to his health.

Joseph also found happiness in simple pleasures and good times shared with others. He was a fan of the Swamp Pop Festival, and those who knew him will remember the joy he brought wherever he went.

He will be remembered with love for his kindness, his willingness to help, and the happiness he shared so freely. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Joe leaves behind his wife, Jennifer Sirchia; children, Brandy C. Sirchia Huguet (Heith), Jasmyne S. Wilson (Chris), Margaurite M. Sirchia (Rodger Granger), Joseph M. Sirchia, II, and Mikayla S. Owens (Chris); grandchildren, Emerson J. Huguet, Eden R. Huguet, Jace R.V. Wilson, Ryder J. Granger, and Maddix J. Granger; step grandchildren, Ashleigh Granger, Ashton Granger, Ahydon Granger, Austin Owens, Douglas Owens, and Sereniti Owens; and numerous other friends and relatives.
