Joseph "Mike" Lewis Zeringue Jr.

Joseph Lewis Zeringue Jr., known as "Mike" to all his family and friends, passed away on May 18, 2019 at the age 85, at home surrounded by his family. Mike was an avid hunter and fisher all his life. His hobby was painting and carving the wildlife he loved so much, which he shared with many.

He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on October 2, 1933, to Red and Letha Zeringue.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Ann Kuntz Zeringue; five children, Michael J. Zeringue (Angelyn), Sandra Z. Karam (Raymond), David W. Zeringue, John W. Zeringue (Lisa) and Ted Louis Zeringue; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren who gave him much joy. His sisters and brother, Linda Z. Meyn (Warren), Rodney Zeringue (Sheila) and Letha Z. Berner (Tommy); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation for family and friends will be Saturday, May 25, 2019, from 9:00 am until the Funeral Mass begins at 11:00 am, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 255 North 8th Street, Ponchatoula, Louisiana, 70454.

Interment will follow at Rosaryville Cemetery in Ponchatoula, Louisiana.

In lieu of flowers masses would be appreciated.
