Joseph "Joe" Leander Pierre

Joseph “Joe” Leander Pierre., age 86 of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2019, in Hammond. He was born on Wednesday, July 27, 1932, in Robert, Louisiana, to Vincent and Delphine Baham Pierre. Joe enjoyed life and loved gardening, reading, and anything outdoors, but he especially loved spending time with his family. Joe loved his country and proudly served until retirement in the US Army and State of Louisiana as a heavy equipment mechanic. 

Joe is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Karin Braun Pierre, his sons, Andrew Pierre and his wife Edie and Marvin Pierre and his wife Kelli, his grandchildren, Christopher, Allison,Nicholas and Kyle, also many nieces, nephews and close friends. 

Joe was preceded in death by his parents,Vincent and Delphine Baham Pierre and his sisters. 

A Funeral Service Celebrating Joe's Life will be held on Monday, June 10, 2019 at 11:00 am at Lee Valley Baptist Church in Loranger. Interment will follow at Briar Patch Cemetery in Loranger.
