Joseph Jake Palermo, Jr.

Joseph Jake Palermo, Jr., of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away at North Oaks Medical Center on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at the age of 70. He was born on January 22, 1952, in Hammond, Louisiana, the son of the late Joseph Jake Palermo and Lucy Ann Silessi Palermo. Joe had a passion for working with his hands always fixing and tinkering. He loved spending time with his grandsons and watching them play sports. Joe will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Joe is survived by his daughter, Maggie Warmack (Mike); son, Brad Palermo; grandsons, Will Landry, Brant Palermo and Joseph Warmack; brother, Glenn Palermo (Theresa); sisters-in-law, Patricia Muscarello (Joe), Jean Viars and Barbara Morgan; as well as numerous cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Gail Doss Palermo; mother and father-in-law, Lillian and Edwin Doss; brothers-in-law, Charles Morgan, V.A. Vaccaro, and Wayne Viars; and sister-in-law, Martha Nicosia.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Saturday, March 5, 2022 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am.

A Funeral Service will begin on Saturday at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Albany, Louisiana.
